Web Site Changes/Additions
alias "notes from Laura" |
|
January 26th, 2006 Well it is obvious that we haven't been keeping up with this part of the site, for that I apologize. A lot of the links below don't work anymore and I thought about removing all the old news. However, I decided to leave it there for posterity. Rustic Ranch has grown quite a bit and we now have a store in Nashville, TN. If you're out in that neck of the woods, please stop in and say howdy to Laura. Missy Foote is managing the Sanger store. One of the major additions to our website since the last update is a "gift registry". If you are getting married, having a baby on the way or any other reason for a registry, check it out. We can add items to the online store if you see something in the brick and mortar store that isn't online. We're hoping you have a great 2006. Thanks for your support. |

| July 28th, 2003 Grandma Maggie's Birthday.
Well folks, we're doing a major overhaul to this site. We've had basically
two stores online for the last 6 months. One housed the items you could
directly buy online and the other was all of the goods that didn't lend
itself to selling online (like the custom furniture). We are working now
to merge it all together. Now when you find something you'll either be
able to order it directly or click a link to send a product inquiry to us.
This what our new online store looks
like. It has some new features as well. You can post a review of any item
you've purchased. There a several ways to pay for an order from credit
cards to mail in, fax in and COD. Let us know what you think. By the way,
Christmas goodies
are now online. Also, this page is going to be replaced with a new Rustic
Ranch Community Forum. Most of the links on this page are no longer
working, so don't be surprised if you get a bunch of "page not found"
messages. |
| April 15th, 2003 Tax Day, I hope y'all are
ready. Between getting my new property (for my house, not another
store...yet) ready to build on and all of the
trade shows, I've been pretty busy. I've found some pretty interesting
stuff at the shows. This is one of the neatest
picture frames I've run
into. We also have some unique, functional artwork, like this
Roper wine bottle holder.
We're also working with a new vendor on metal goods. He makes some
gorgeous beds
and this
Ranger Star Sofa table.
Another new vendor I've run across does some fantastic work. It's all
special order, but take a look at this
pie safe. Have
a great Spring! |
| January 23rd, 2003 Wow, changes due abound. We've
revamped the menu system to try and make it easier for y'all to navigate
around the site. Let us know how we're doing.
One addition worth noting is the
desk we got
in this last week. It's wood and steel and can be customized with your
brand or whatever on it. That's it for now, but the way it has been going,
we'll have more news to report. ( Like Missy's upcoming birth event) |

| January 18th, 2003 Well, all of us here at Rustic Ranch
Furniture hope you had a wonderful holiday and that the new year brings
you happiness and prosperity. We've had a huge addition to the Rustic
Ranch Furniture Company. We've opened up an
online store. For now we are only selling some small stuff. Leather
accessories by American West and hardware by Cowboy Decor. You can bet
there will be a lot more coming. My relatives in Louisiana found this
artist and it took me over a year to get this piece of
etched glass. You really should come in
and see it. It is truly a one of a kind. For you cowboy executives out
there, I found this wonderful
chair. It is as
comfortable as it is beautiful. |

| October 31st, 2002 Folks, it's almost Thanksgiving and
you know what that means, Christmas is just around the corner. We've got
some help for you, besides a lot of great Christmas presents, we've
gotten so great
ornaments
and stocking holders. I've also snagged some really terrific pieces,
like this
wine and glass case
made out of metal and glass. There is also a beautiful
wagon
wheel coffee table you just have to see. If you're looking for a
bar
that doesn't take up much room, we've got just what you're looking for.
There are two new desk additions, a banker's
desk and a writing desk. If there is a Cowboy CEO in your life,
he/she would love this
executive
chair.
I talked my webmaster into organizing our site so you might find what
you're looking for a little easier. Now when you go to the "Good"
page, you can look by the type of furniture you're looking for as well
as the room. Let us know if it helps.
The last bit of news is our virtual inventory expansion. We are
adding to our site Special Order pages. So far it is just the chairs
and lamps, but more is on the
way. These are items that we for the most part don't stock, but can get.
Have a great holiday season if we
don't see you sooner. |

| August 21st, 2002 The summer is almost over here in
Texas, but the heat will linger. I've got some more goodies for y'all to
look at. One of the neatest pieces I've come across in a while is this kitchen
island. It could also be used out in the barn or any place that you
need a table that moves easily and stores its own stools. We've got a
custom made bed that is selling like hotcakes at the IHOP. It's called Christ
and the Cowboy, take a look. Worth a glance is the Aspen
bedroom furniture, that light wood is gorgeous. If you've been
looking for a leather mirror, look no
more. I've got several sizes and they're striking. I get so much new
stuff that it is hard to get it all on the web site. If you haven't been
buy in a while, you may also notice that I have a warehouse out back
now. Come by and check it out. |

|
| February 17th, 2002 The holidays are long gone and
it isn't a far cry from Spring. I've been looking for some new items and
I think y'all will like what I've found. I'm also building a big storage
space behind the store so I can stock more goodies. One of the fun
things I've found is the "Cowboy
Cooler". This would be great for parties or just sittin' on the
deck watching the sunset. I'm also carrying more children's furniture.
You'll find it under "Little
Ropers". If you're looking for a chair, I've got a couple of
gorgeous new chairs and a cowhide wingback.
Big News, I finally got a digital camera (my uncle has been taking these
so far). That means I'll be able to update this more frequently and can
email you pictures of whatever we've got. Maybe you'd like to see a
different angle of one of the pieces shown here. I can do it. That's it
for now. Happy Trails. |

| September 17th, 2001 Labor Day has passed us and we're
just recovering from the tragic events of last week We hope you and
your's are okay. Our prayers go out to those that aren't and pray we
never have to go through this again. God Bless America!
I've been so busy this summer and was able to squeeze in a trip to a
trade show in Colorado. I've got a lot of new stuff for you to look at
here and a lot more in the store. For instance, I came across some neat swag
lights and a print called "Startin'
Early" that I just love. There is also a cute wine
bottle holder that incidentally is holding a bottle of Lone Oak
wine. They're a local vineyard just down the road from me. Christmas is
just around the corner and I've got some great ornaments
for that "Cowboy" tree you're planning. There are other goodies
for under the tree, like the Frankoma
dishes or the "Elmer" cookie
jar. We've got some new outdoor furniture, the best of which is a Lonestar
metal glider ( the porch swings are pretty great, too). They're to
big to go under the tree, but my new fireplace
screens and tools would look great in front of your fire on
Christmas eve. I've had shadowbox coffee tables before, but this
one has a drawer that slides out so it is easy to change the
insides. Time for me to close. There is lots for you to see, so go
inside and make yourself at home. If you find yourself driving on I-35
near Sanger, TX, stop in and say howdy. |

|
| May 28th, 2001. Here it is Memorial Day and I just can't
go party till I tell you of some of the new stuff I got. I don't know
how I keep finding such cool stuff. For instance, the 6' metal
and wood cowboy desk I came across is unbelievable (and heavy). I
finally got some pictures of the stoneware
that I carry. There is also a new picture of those "Jelly
Candles" that smell so good, you might try to put it on toast.
With Father's day just around the corner, you might want to look at the
Nadim watches. An unusual item is
the hand painted iron antique
bathtub I found. I also changed the layout a bit. The "Wall
Stuff" now has separate pages for mirrors
and hanging art. Speaking of art, I got my hands
on a super Texas easel and while you're
there check out some new framed prints.
There is a lot of other goods scattered through out.

|
| March 4th, 2001. Well, the holidays and
rain are over and I'm filling up the store. I think you'll really love
some of the new merchandise. I keep finding some really unique items.
If you've got a "cowboy/cowgirl office" you're going to love
these limestone desk accessories.
I've got an Aunt that just loves wooden boxes and I've found some very special
ones. For the "cowboy/cowgirl" computer user, there's a
new armoire to disguise your
PC. You gals really need to check out the new sets of matching
purses, wallets and cell phone covers. The picture doesn't do it
justice, but this wine rack
with an antler base is quite an unusual piece. Y'all take care and
I'll try to get this updated more often. |
|

|
| November 13, 2000. Geez, I can't believe
that it has been so long since my last update. We've been busy around
here and it shows with all of the new stuff I've gotten in. First of
all, I found some really cute Christmas
stuff. I've also added a bunch of great tooled leather
goods. From luggage to cellphone covers. What I particularly am fond
of is the tooled satchel. I came
across a really great table made from a wagon wheel. The top is actually
a wheel sawed in half and inlaid with wood. Check
it out. There is also a super dining room set called Ranch
Style and a Custom Cowboy
table (If my photographer was a little better you could really see the
copper plates on the feet). Well, there's more, but I won't bore you. I
hope y'all have a wonderful holiday. |
|

|
| September 16, 2000. It just keeps getting
better. I got a few really neat things in the last few weeks. A gorgeous
armoire that has wrap around doors.
There is also a new bed to look at called the Great
Star Bed. I'm now carrying the Bill
Frank sculptures. They'd be right at home on your desk or sofa
table. I've added a new page just for things for your tables.
My first round dining room table
is here. There are tons of gift ideas for Christmas in the store and
these barbed wire candles should
be on your list. Don't be a stranger! |
|

|
| August 27th, 2000. Katie bar the door! We
never imagined that there would be this kind of reaction to our store.
Before long I'm going to need more help. I keep finding more great stuff
at super prices. Check out the 7 foot dining
room table that is built on a huge wagon wheel hub. Another great
find is bar stools and accent tables
using the same style of hub. For the kitchen you might want to look at
the new Pot Rack. I also came across a new
manufacturer for the leather sofa sets
(made with fine Italian leather). |
|

|
August 14th, 2000. Folks, the furniture
just keeps flying out the doors. We've added more new items and they can
be spotted with the next to them.
The most unique are the grapevine products. Tables,
table lamps and floor lamps made out of the most
gorgeous lacquered grapevine. One of my favorite additions is the Lone
Star Canopy Bed. Another newcomer is some
authentic
Indian art and hand carved stones.
I've been so busy replacing merchandise, that I haven't had a chance to
work on mail order policies and shipping rates. Trust me, if you want
something shipped in the interim, we'll figure it out. We've also added
a page just for lamps. |
|

|
| July 17th, 2000. We've already sold a lot of the items displayed here. Not
to worry, we can get more. We've added some new items to the kitchen
area (a very rustic chopping block and one of the sharpest kitchen
islands you'll ever see). There are also some new "star" end
tables and coffee tables in the living and dining room area. We found a
real gem in a Texas flag hat rack and gorgeous Michel Jordi watches that
have been added to the accessories. By the way, if you've seen something
somewhere else or have an idea of your own, let us know. Our experts can
make most anything. |
